Surfaces

Flagstone

Irregular stone for patios, walks, and stepping stones. The published notes are durability and a textured surface that is not slick the way polished stone can be.

Concrete pavers

Interlocking units in many colors and patterns. A damaged piece can be pulled and replaced, which a poured slab does not allow. The base is where the drainage is built.

Rock and gravel

Paths, dry creeks, and the beds beside a new fence. Rock does not rot in a wet winter the way bark eventually does.
