Chain link fences

Chain link is the straightforward metal fence: lower cost, low upkeep, and quicker to install than a cedar privacy wall. Our fence page calls it out for large properties, dog runs, and commercial yards.

Privacy slats are optional if you want to close the view without switching to wood. The written warranty specifically includes a 10-year limited warranty for chain link fabric and for a cedar post on steel pipe.

Where we use it

Yards and dog runs

A contained run does not need a solid wall. Chain link keeps the boundary and the sightline.

Commercial and larger lots

The fence page lists commercial work, and the fence FAQ says we install chain link for homes and businesses. Pricing still comes from an on-site measure, not a per-foot special.

With or without slats

Open mesh, or slats when the neighbor view is the problem. We will say which one fits when we see the yard.

Questions

Is the 10-year chain link warranty the same as the 3-year workmanship warranty?

The warranty page lists both. Installation, workmanship, and fence products are warranted to the original purchaser for 36 months. Chain link fabric, and cedar posts on steel pipe, are listed at 10 years. Read the exclusions before you count on either one.
